STANDOFF HAS BEEN CANCELLED

07.20.07 :: 118 "SEVERANCE" [NEW - SERIES FINALE] Having broken up as a couple, Matt and Emily decide they want to break up as a team as well. So Cheryl sends Matt out without Emily to defuse a crisis involving a distraught filmmaker, who makes racy videos, and his equally distraught wife, who runs the business. But one hostage situation soon becomes two, and Cheryl must call in reinforcements.

07.13.07 :: 117 "THE KIDS IN THE HALL" [NEW] A hostage crisis at a juvenile-detention center is sparked by a sensitive, intelligent teen who demands that the facility remain open. But his plans to keep the inmates from being transferred to a more crowded facility are thwarted by a thuggish teen. Meanwhile, Matt and Emily must fill out partner-evaluation forms. One question asks whether there's any situation the two can't resolve, and Matt answers no, but he does so before this situation unfolds.

07.06.07 :: 116 "EX-FACTOR" [NEW] A witness in a mob money-laundering trial is kidnapped from an FBI safe house, and the kidnapper demands a $2 million ransom from the federal government. The whistle-blower's heart condition adds to the tension, as does Cheryl's personal baggage in the case. She must work it with a former lover, a thorny situation not lost on Matt and Emily.

06.29.07 :: 115 "LIE TO ME" [NEW] A kidnapper snatches an 8-year-old from an amusement park, then sends TV networks a picture of the boy holding a sign saying: "Emily Lehman did this." Emily has no idea who is responsible, but the trail eventually leads back to her past.

06.22.07 :: 114 "ROAD TRIP" [NEW] A polygamous cult leader abducts the 17-year-old runaway daughter of his first wife. The teen also happens to be one of his wives. It's a confusing situation, and a dangerous one, since the RV the "family" is traveling in is wired with explosives.

06.15.07 :: 113 "BACKFIRE" [NEW] While dealing with two bank robbers who are threatening to kill a trainload of subway passengers, Matt is called away to a psychiatry office, where a patient has taken two doctors hostage. The hostage taker is a schizophrenic who believes he's on the trail of a rogue CIA agent, and Matt has talked him down before, so he's confident he can do it again.

06.08.07 :: 112 "NO STRINGS" [NEW] An upstanding, well-regarded U.S. customs agent inexplicably takes three hostages at an inspection bay at the Port of Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Emily has been accepted for a special task force in Quantico, VA, and is worried by Matt's response.

12.12.06 :: 111 "BORDERLINE" [NEW] When capturing a drug lord takes them to Mexico, Matt and Emily become stranded without an escape plan. The two then must extricate themselves from a bad situation by using their negotiation skills after the predicament becomes violent.

12.05.06 :: 110 "THE ACCIDENTAL NEGOTIATOR" [NEW] The CNU is called in to deal with a crisis situation at the headquarters of a credit union after an armed man takes a recently fired worker hostage. Meanwhile, the relationship between Matt and Emily is strained after she leaves his apartment early in the morning without waking him.

11.28.06 :: 109 "PEER GROUP" [NEW] Believing his sons have been tormented by school bullies and are planning a counterattack, a distraught father contacts the CNU after he finds notebooks and blueprints of his sons' school. Matt and Emily arrive too late to stop the boys, who have already kidnapped the bullies, and are torturing them and broadcasting it on the internet.

11.21.06 :: 108 "HEROINE" [NEW] After Matt and Emily save a young woman from a hostage situation, they learn the woman could be the victim of a stalker. Although Emily learns the woman has feelings for Matt and could be making false claims, Matt is determined to save her again.

11.14.06 :: 107 "MAN OF STEELE" [NEW] A surrogate mother scams a desperate husband out of $50,000 for her newborn baby; Matt and Emily enlist the help of a local shock jock when the man takes matters into his own hands.

11.07.06 :: 106 "ONE SHOT STOP" [NEW] After a sniper kills several people at random, the CNU seeks the suspect's hideout and believe they've caught him. The suspect turns out to be a copycat when a police captain is shot. Matt and Emily work with Frank and Duff to find the real sniper before anyone else gets hurt.

10.31.06 :: 105 "LIFE SUPPORT" [NEW] A young boy takes hostages in a hospital because the doctor is needs to operate on his terminally ill sister is on vacation and the other surgeons refuse to perform the procedure without him. Matt and Emily are called to save the hostages and help the boy.

09.26.06 :: 104 "PARTNERS IN CRIME" [NEW] During a confrontation at a bank robbery, Emily is taken hostage by the two bank robbers. Matt uses his people skills to catch the robbers after he determines they are a couple in love.

09.19.06 :: 103 "SHANGHAI'D" [NEW] When the daughter of an Asian crime lord is kidnapped, Matt and Emily find they must compromise the investigation and anger the Chief of the Crime Division as well as deal with the father of the victim, who is under investigation by the FBI.

09.12.06 :: 102 "CIRCLING" [NEW] An air traffic controller hijacks the control tower to protest his innocence after he is blamed for a plane crash that killed 180 people. Matt and Emily discover the hijacker might be dealing with more than the accusation when they learn his wife is having an affair.

09.05.06 :: 101 "PILOT" [NEW] The CNU deals with two separate crises: one regarding an estranged father about to lose custody of his sons and another revolving a young man who takes control of a coffee shop.
